Other international projects with Swiss participation
- IANOS The "Intelligent ApplicatioN Oriented Scheduler" project aims to provide a middleware service allowing optimal placement and scheduling of applications on the Grid.
- LHC Computing Grid The "Large Hadron Collider", currently being built at CERN near Geneva, is the largest scientific instrument on the planet. When it begins operations in 2007, it will produce roughly 15 Petabytes (15 million Gigabytes) of data annually.
- SEPAC The "Southern European Partnership for Advanced Computing" is an infrastructure and technology oriented collaboration. It aims to explore technology and interoperability aspects of Grid computing.
- PRAGMA The "Pacific Rim Application and Grid Middleware Assembly" establishes sustained collaborations and advance the use of Grid technologies in applications among a community of investigators working with leading institutions around the Pacific Rim.
